Coach Jacob Cogswell
Assistant Coach | 14U
Jacob Cogswell joins the NEA Wildcats coaching staff for his first season, bringing recent collegiate playing experience and a strong passion for player development. Jacob played baseball at both NHTI and Southern New Hampshire University, where he gained valuable insight into the game at the college level. In addition to his playing background, he has worked with young athletes through lessons and camps, helping players build skills and confidence.
Jacob’s coaching philosophy is simple: play the game the right way, bring a good attitude, and always work hard. He focuses on steady growth, encouraging players to embrace their strengths while chipping away at weaknesses. “There’s no limit to how good a player can be,” Jacob says. “It’s about striving for small gains every day rather than expecting perfection all at once.”
Drawing from his own experiences as both a team captain and as a player who didn’t always see the field, Jacob offers a unique perspective that helps him connect with athletes at every stage of their journey. For him, the most rewarding part of coaching is watching kids get just a little bit better each day.
Outside of baseball, Jacob enjoys working out and watching sports.
