Coach Jaythian Figueroa
assistant coach | 2026 10U Northeast
Jaythian Figueroa joins the NEA Wildcats coaching staff for his first season, bringing fresh perspective, high energy, and a strong connection to today’s players. A recent high school standout, Jaythian played varsity baseball for three and a half years and is preparing to continue his career at the college level. His recent playing experience allows him to relate closely to young athletes and share lessons he’s learned firsthand.
CPR certified, Jaythian is passionate about coaching because it gives him the opportunity to teach kids the things he wishes he had heard growing up—both on and off the field. He thrives on the excitement and curiosity young players bring to the game and enjoys helping them build confidence through patience, encouragement, and simple, effective instruction.
Jaythian believes baseball is a powerful platform for teaching life skills. While developing strong ballplayers is important, he emphasizes core human values like respect, humility, and accountability. “You can be a great baseball player, but being a good person matters more,” he says—especially when those lessons are introduced at a young age.
Outside of NEA, Jaythian currently works at a hospital and spends time helping his younger brother and cousins grow as baseball players and as people. He has also trained and practiced alongside former Minor League and Major League Baseball players, experiences he looks forward to passing on to the next generation of athletes.
