Coach John Severini
Head Coach | 2026 12U National
John Severini enters his seventh year of coaching baseball—and his third as a head coach—with a proven track record of developing players and building winning teams. Since 2014, he has been coaching youth baseball and running leagues in the town of Windham, while also serving as an NEA Wildcats head coach since 2023. His success includes managing the 2022 8U, 2023 9U, and 2025 11U Windham Cal Ripken District teams to three New Hampshire State Championships—many of those same players now form the core of his 12U Wildcats roster.
John is USA Baseball and CPR certified. His coaching philosophy focuses on preparedness, reps, and situational awareness—mentally and physically. He emphasizes positive reinforcement paired with correction, always with an approachable style that values relationships with both players and families. “Keep it simple,” he says, aiming to leave each player with one clear takeaway from every practice or game. For John, accountability is key: no one is above the standard, and everyone is held responsible for the team’s success.
What John enjoys most is watching players light up after making a great play—that smile is the ultimate reward.
Off the field, John loves basketball (and proudly claims the title of best shooter in Windham over the age of 40). He also enjoys big Italian meals, cookouts by the pool with family and friends, and golfing—where he once earned junior club champion honors at Hoodkroft Country Club in Derry back in 1997, a plaque that still bears his name today.
